The project has a base in the Arab Abou Saed area, from which we provide:

Education

• ‘Open’ classrooms which the workers can visit during their breaks to get help from experienced teachers

• Montessori-style literacy and numeracy teaching, allowing the boys to gain their primary school certificate

• Resources such as books, pens, pencils and other classroom learning aids

• Financial help to enable children to attend government schools

• Training in animal welfare, which in turn helps to ensure the welfare of the workers

 

Trips, sports days and holidays

• Concert trips and sports days to give the boys a well-earned break from work

• An annual holiday camp to give the boys a chance to play and swim in the sea – because every child deserves the opportunity to relax and simply be a child

 

Healthcare

• Nutritious drinks and snacks – milk, fruit and clean drinking water

• Safety equipment such as goggles and suitable shoes

• Separate dormitories for children, with beds and bedding
